Assemblies at CES serve many purposes. Some are designed to build school spirit and moral while others are educational. The students engage in a collective experience that reflects positivity and enriches learning. We strive to have several assemblies throughout the school year which are paid for by funds raised by the PTA.
These two events are held during the year to provide a fun opportunity for students to spend time with their parents at school before their school day starts. It's also a great way for parents to meet other parents!
Red Ribbon Week is celebrated across the country during October. At CES, our focus is on friendship. During "Friendship Week" everyone had an opportunity to participate in the fun theme of the day and show how much we care about our friends at school. Friendship Week is scheduled for October each year.
Each year our Scholastic Book Fair offers a chance for students to shop with their class and with their parents after school. Proceeds from the Book Fair are used to purchased new books for the school library. This year's Book Fair will be held in Spring each year.
School memories are captured forever in a yearbook. We publish a 80-page full-color yearbook that is distributed during the last week of school.
The 2020-2021 school year MAY not yield a yearbook. We will advise as things change.
